2017. While working at Juice I was responsible for visual effects for the 4th Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku - Closing Ceremony. I loved doing this project because it was a break from making commercials and it was viewed live by many people - on the Internet, TV and at the stadium.
I had to be a one-man army on this one which was cool. I got some support in rotoscoping and most of the shots were tracked by someone else but then I had to track the rest. After all this work was done the shots had to be retimed and stabilized so I used Nuke to retime the footage together with the camera tracks. The edit was controlled in Resolve.
After all this prep I did the particle simulations in Houdini, shaded and rendered them with Redshift, which was followed by compositing in After Effects and Nuke.
